Job Circular for Assistant Project Coordinator

Position: Assistant Project Coordinator-Emergency Response

Department: Program – Emergency Response

Reports to: Project Coordinator – Emergency Response

Job Location: SWB Country Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh with 60% travel to Rohingya camps

Duration: September-December 2019


Responsibilities Include to:

  • To assist Project Coordinator in planning field-based activities for donor funded Rohingya project and accordingly follow the work plan for implementation
  • To organize field-based training and workshops for the teachers, and aid workers
  • To support the Project Coordinator – Emergency Response in the development and execution of innovative ideas on prescribed project activities
  • To conduct regular field-visit to ensure implementation of the project activities in the learning centres and ECD centres as per prescribed Project plan
  • To maintain regular communication with local government stakeholders, implementing partners
  • To work with Coordinator in planning and organizing of documentation of the project and the community events,
  • To assist in coordination of location, logistics for community events to engage children and parents for awareness building on Early Childhood Education
  • To distribute materials including banners, playing materials and project related take-home materials in the centres in the camps
  • To perform any other task assigned by the supervisor


Key Skills

  • Project Coordination and grass-root level implementation skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Good command over spoken English and computer operations



  • University degree in relevant subject such as Management, Development Studies, Business Administration, Education and/or Early Childhood Development
  • Strong Knowledge over English and Bengali language
  • Command over local dialect of Chittognian and/or Rohingya language will be added advantage



Monthly gross salary is BDT 60,000 (all inclusive) plus a phone allowance of BDT 500 for mobile phone allowance. No other benefits will be entitled.
